Do yourself a favor and watch this video from the indispensable Climate Discussion Nexus. The premise -- as CDN director John Robson acknowledges in the open -- sounds about as enjoyable as sitting down for a round of extensive dental work.
The Ottawa City Council met in February to consider banning oil and natural gas companies from advertising in the Canadian capital. They heard testimony from eighteen presenters about how evil fossil fuels are; how allowing them to advertise amounted to supporting disinformation; and for good measure, how children with climate anxiety are being triggered by seeing signs which support the Canadian natural resource industry.
But Robson does a masterful job of pulling apart the generally groundless, unsubstantiated, and often times hysterical testimony with his characteristic patience and insight.
Now, if that's not enough to get you to watch, you might consider something else which Robson points out, namely that this isn't just happening in Ottawa. It's not just happening in big cities. It's not just happening in Canada. Chances are no matter where you live, whether that's Los Angeles, Dubuque, or deep in the heart of Texas, faceless elected officials are hearing testimony like this from shills for Big "Climate Change." As Michael Walsh likes to say, "They never stop, they never sleep, they never quit." This is their hobby, their family, and their religion all rolled into one. And they're coming to a city near you.
So watch this video, familiarize yourself with their arguments, and be ready. Don't say you weren't warned.
