The title of this post is a reference to the Smothers Brothers, and the subject matter of the video which follows is nearly as laughable as anything ever produced by Tommy and Dick. It's from John Robson, of the indispensable Climate Discussion Nexus, who does a quick dive into the tendency of those who tout tree-ring data as definitive proof of anthropogenic global warming to discard any data which doesn't fit their predetermined narrative. They defend this practice with the contention that that data is "poor" or "corrupted," by which they mean, well, that it doesn't show what they want it to show.
As Robson puts it, "The problem here is obvious to anyone with statistical training who's not in the climate cult."
Give it a watch.
