"A trial run of the Great Reset."

Herewith, the opening remarks of John Tierney, formerly of the New York Times and now a contributor to City Journal, at the launch of our book, Against the Great Reset in the fall of 2022. That event coincided with the peak hysteria surrounding Covid-19, a "pandemic" of which we were highly skeptical from the start.

Tierney is the coauthor, with the social psychologist Roy Baumeister, of The Power of Bad: How the Negativity Effect Rules Us and How We Can Rule It and Willpower: Rediscovering the Greatest Human Strength. During more than two decades at the New York Times, he was a science columnist, an Op-Ed columnist, and a staff writer for the New York Times Magazine. His articles have been published in dozens of newspapers and magazines, and his books have been translated into more than twenty languages.

Michael Walsh is a journalist, author, pianist, and screenwriter. He was for 16 years the music critic and a foreign correspondent for Time Magazine. His works include the novels As Time Goes By, And All the Saints, and the bestselling “Devlin” series of NSA thrillers; as well as the nonfiction bestseller, The Devil’s Pleasure Palace and its sequel, The Fiery Angel. His new book of military history, A Rage to Conquer, was published in late January. He divides his time between rural New England and even more rural Ireland.
